wütend (infuriated) vs. böse (angry)
The difference between these two words is intensity. Wütend is a very strong feeling of anger, so strong that you may lose control of yourself. Böse is a more general feeling of anger, or sometimes it can mean an "ill will" or a "bad reputation". In this case, böse is equivalent to an emotion, and it is generally less extreme than wütend.
